Magik (Illyana Rasputin)? Clea? The Hood? Baron Mordo? Brother Voodoo? The Scarlet Witch? Agatha Harkness? Wikken (sp?)?
Any other candidates? (I can't remember the name of Nightcrawler's girlfriend or the chick with the metal bikini that hangs out with Man Thing).

Ah yes. The airline stewardess. I had heard they tried to give her the Magick moniker at one point.
Oh, I forgot out that odd looking Bull creature thing that was once Doc Strange's apprentice, and wasn't Wong also studying the mystic arts at one point as well?

Jennifer Kale ( and I didn't even look that one up )
The bull-looking dude was (I think) Rintah.
Why not Dr Doom!? Is there something in the rulebook that says The Sorcerer Supreme can't be a bad guy? After Final Crisis & Dark Reign, I thought this was the year of Evil Wins.
As long as it isn't Dr Druid...:ugh_y:

Dr. Strange has lost his Sorcerer Supreme awhile ago back in the late 70s/80s. Some people don't know that Marvel is just rehashing an old idea but I am sure it will be fun to see people try and become Sorcerer Supreme before Dr. Strange somehow "gets it back".

That's pretty much the way it always is, I don't doubt that it gives the good Doctor an interesting story arc to be able to (eventually) reclaim the title. We all know Batman's eventually coming back and it looks like Captain America's back in time for his movie and Marvel's 70th. I'm enjoying the storylines in the meantime though. Who doesn't want to see how Dick performs as Batman?
Druid was lame up until they killed him in the miniseries by Warren Ellis and Leonard Manco.

Ellis presented us with a character who was tired of getting his *** handed to him time and time again, and he actually researched Druidic practice and Lore. Manco's art was darn spooky. Joe Bob says go check it out.

Yup. Complete with what I'm assuming to be phonetic Caribbean dialogue (ie. referring to himself as "Brudder").
Now the question is, how LONG will he last as Sorcerer Supreme? For maximum shock value, I'd probably give him a few panels next issue before he gets whacked and the "hot potato" is passed (in this case, it's the Eye of Aggometo (sp?).
It's starting to shape-up a bit like a Battle Royale amongst the Marvel mystics. Most of this issue had The Hood brawling it out against Damon Hellstorm.

is that Rooster guy going to be his nemesis?

Looks like The Hood is the Big Bad, although more appropriately it's Dormammu possessing him.

Whatever happened to the Doc Strange origin reboot by JMS? Does it still stand?

Surprisingly, I don't think anyone acknowledged it as far as I know. The BKV Mini and Bendis' New Avengers both seemed to feature Old School Doc Strange in the cape.
It's way too "Matrix", but I liked the JMS mini if you look at it as the pitch for "Doctor Strange The Movie" (which I assume it was). I'm really surprised the direct to DVD animated Strange didn't follow this version.
