Truly a masterpiece. Google for info of this trailer coming direct to video in a few days. ( I don't know how to post links to stuff.. sorry)
Starring Debbie Gibson, yes the one that sings and Larenzo lamas.
Want to see a shark attack a 747 in mid flight? Take a bite out of the Golden Gate Bridge? Then this is the movie you have been waiting for.
Just because you can do things with CGI doesnt mean you should......:cool_y:

BOOOO!!!!
So far, I guess that means I'm neutral.... although if even ONE of the two gets eaten I'm in for sure!

Incredible.
Reminds of Frankenstein Conquers the World.
This video contains the originally cut out scene when Frankenstein fights a giant Octopus... on land!

In A*P*E, a horrid Korean Kong ripoff, the big gorilla fights a really big shark.

I don't want everyone to get the idea I'm so pro shark here. Sure taking out a flying 747 is awesome. (Man They REALLY should have Samuel Jackson have a cameo Saying something about sharks being on his Mother F#$%ing plane)
But the octopus is definatley no slouch here either. I mean he takes out nuclear attack subs like little cocktail weenies and whips a F 18 out of the sky. How cool is that for something with no backbone?
what good Octopus movies have there been?

^^ It Came from Beneath the Sea, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Bride of the Monster, Tentacles, Octopussy. :)

Yeah, Octopi (plural?) have as many great movies but they don't have the high profile of Jaws and such. Putting the two together makes enormous sense. Who doesn't love a monster mash?

Actually wasn't "It came from beneath the sea" A Pentapus? I remember reading they could only afford to animate 5 legs so the left the other 3 off.

^^^ Sextapus. It had 6 legs according to Harryhousen

As if Deep Blue Sea wasn't bad enough. Here is the real tragedy of CGI. B movies now have even more craptacular effects shots (nothing lookks hoakier than cheap cgi except cheap foam rubber)
Now the science:
There is fossil data for 60-100 foost sharks and based on the leaping great whites off south africa I will put the shark eating the plane and the bridge as plausible once you accept the shark itself
since we know that even today there are giant squid with tentacles over 30 feet long why not a giant octopus
and Debbe Gibson still looks good

I would have been a cool scene to show the mega shark leaping out of the water to nab some low flying pterodactyl in prehistoric times. (before he was frozen) That would have set the plane scene up nice.
As long as we are trying to justify things in this film with real *ahem* "science" It must have been one hell of a fast ice age to freeze both creatures in mid fight per the begining of the trailer.
