Not even a mailer box? For $1,200 just for the one? I don't think so.

problem for me with this one is the picture. If you're going to offer a pricey figure that has been reproduced, you better produce better and more pictures than this.

$1200 for a minty Peter Parker is not altogether outrageous (I paid $900 for mine with no mailer box)- especially if you've wanted one for a long time - but you better be able to provide irrefutable proof that it is minty and all original.

Same guy has a Circle Suit listed for $550...with a rip under the arm (and who knows what else wrong with). His pictures (along with opening prices) are going to kill his auctions for him.

That is one of the major issues that I have with this one. With the economy being in the crapper for some it would not be that difficult at all for someone to claim that they have said figure. It could very well be a repro for all we know. As you mentioned without further pictures and or proof I would shy away from this auction big time.

you'd think with the market the way it is that people would lower the prices a bit

If it's truly mint, and has the correct footwear, not AJ shoes with pin pricks in them, then the price is fair. I know they've sold for more in the past.

Peter Parker and Clark Kent are much less common than
Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson.

Only if they are forced to sell. If not, why not keep them. If someone wants it bad enough, and can afford it, they'll buy it.

If not, it can wait. Unless the unpaid bills mean repo.
In the real sense of the word.
