I got my Phantom and Achmed today! They are really nice and I am very pleased. Thanks Dave, Jason and all those involved in making this possible.

Ok I received my Phantom Early bird today....sort of. A few problems with this guy, let me know if this is common with anyone elses. First the stitching is coming loose in several places on his costume. Second there is silver fingerprints on his black gunbelt and on his hands. and finally the worst of it all....no early bird stuff! Was the early bird stuff not shipping with the early bird figure? Other wise he is everything I have grown to expect with Castaway toys. Wicked articulation great looking props, fantastic head sculpts. One more slight disapointment was that I ordered the Kick *** chair, and was hoping it would ship with the figure....but alas it was not to be....The phantom that walks will continue to walk...no rest for the cool purple dude!!

Awesome!!! I got my figure yesterday Beautiful figure, I mean really nice work. I like the packaging as well.

This is as good a place as any to thank my friend Bobby White for taking the photos on the back of the packages. We had a real fun time setting up the prototypes and Jason's original throne and Devil sculpts. I had a blast on the front packaging art. Quite an honor to be able to draw the Ghost Who Walks on officially licensed material. Thanks Dave and Jason!!!

Got my 2 sets yesterday. Thanks for the note advising about the EB extras delay David.

Quick review:

The Phantoms both look great. The guns and holster rock. No issues with the outfit that I can see, both were well made and sewn.

Achmed is cool too, although the finish on the suit jacket is a bit frayed and the pants a bit restrictive of his leg movement. The knife is excellent, and the sculpt is very nice. I wouldn't mind some extras of that for customs.

Packaging is nice as well, standard castaway clam with nice artwork and composition.

My 2 pack arrived as I was leaviong for work today and I only had a few minutes to give it a quick once over.

You know how it is with Pre-Orders. You never know. So I was happy to receive something, but now that you mention it, my Purple Phantom also had Silver paint marks on his Purple costume. No clie where the paint came from, as he doesn't have any visible accessories to get paint rubs from.

As you mentioned, no Yellow suit, but I did receive PART of the Achmed suit.
The Sandals were missing - Not certain if the red belt was there.
Otherwise his accessories seem to be there and bagged to avoid any paint.

Will the rest of the Achmed suit be shipped with the Yellow Phantom Suit?

Well, I know that the first 578 of these bad boys have been delivered, 'cause I just got mine 20 minutes ago! Oh, and they're magnificent - only ding is a couple of loose threads on Achmed's tux, but that's it. Both figures were definitely worth the months-long wait - patience has it's virtues, folks!

Now, if you'll excuse me... Captain Action's been in Dr. Evil's death trap for awhile, and his buddy, the Phantom, is on his way to spring him! That is, if the Ghost Who Walks can throw a beating to that sinister sultan, Achmed, first!!!! Will he succeed? Let's find out!

Recheck the packing material - there should be a slip of paper saying the Phantom New Zealand Early Bird Variant outfit and head were delayed, but rather than delay the order any more, they sent the figures and Achmed's Early Bird stuff out first. The Phantom's variant head and suit will be shipped separately at Cast-A-Way's expense (which is very cool and professional of them).

After reading these posts I went through every scrap of paper, and there were alot of them, and didn't find anything. I still haven't heard back from Dave. Again, thanks K, Timothy, and txteach for letting me know what the deal is.

Just wondering ... collectors ... given Castaway's great resealable packaging and non-use of a million restraining ties, would you still consider something 'new', 'MIB', etc. if one 47-year old collector just couldn't bear to see his bald head and scrunched position, and opened him up to straighten him out and pop on his turban?

Yeah I'm still waiting on mine - I ordered two EB Phantoms back on December 15th ($63.20) and then joined the club on Jan 14th ($30.50) - Then I ordered with my savings code on Feb 10th so ($30.00 plus $15.40) for some items I got but was short two black body suits that were to be in that order, and my emails went unanswered, I finally gave up on the body suits. Finally on April 30th I ordered the Throne - two FX Phantoms - Trench Coat set - Plus extra goodies from Castaway site ($211.80) when they became available for club members. - For a Grand total of $350.90 worth of items that I have only received an incomplete order on. So I hope some of you can understand how some of us out here are becoming wary but excited. I'm happy to hear about all the members out there that have gotten your packages, but I'll be even happier when I get mine. I understand Dave and Jason are doing this on their own so I cut them major slack and give them kudos for what they are doing. I'm just looking forward to getting my orders. The only reason I ordered these items is that I'm a major Phantom Phan....so looking forward to these figures joining my collection.

I know I'm the one who started the first thread bad mouthing CAST-A-AWAY toys for the slow service and NOT answering any of my emails or phone calls.....but now I have to say, after getting this Phantom figure....it was well worth the wait.....'THEY' did a great job and the packaging is amazing....after finding out that 'THEY' are just Dave and Jason, I can understand all the work 'THEY' had to put into this figure and why it took so long to produce....when I first saw the CAST-A-WAY website I assumed from the quality of the items that this was a big company.....all I can say now is for a 2 man operation, this stuff is AMAZING......Thank you Dave and Jason.......ps..how can 'WE' get the first figures you released....I saw them on the mego-like website , monster figures: Phantom of the Opera, The Fly.....?

Very very anxious for mine to arrive. My mom bought me the early bird set for christmas and dont have a clue what # it was as she deleted the email invoice. Bought the club member exclusives and the throne to go with them. Also went the ebay route and bought the fx employees version of the phantom. That is a really cool piece.

I LOVE the FX version which has the classic Phantom along with the head and costume for the Gray Ghost. I liked that so much I joined the club and ordered that one today. I'm looking forward to getting it! I think Castaway Toys has tapped into a big hit for collectors. I think I'll end up getting the Kit Walker outfit and throne as well. Nice work guys!
