Stupid question - how do I delete pics?

I must just be missing something simple:-( I can't figure out how to delete pics I put in the gallery. Is there a button or a menu to do it?

Open the pic to be deleted. When you are looking at that pic, on the right, there is a pulldown that says "image tools". It's in the bar just above the picture itself. One of the last selections, if not the last in the tools is delete image.
