ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE thread

    Attack of the Puppet People.

Movies don't get much better than this one.

First of all, are there puppet people in this movie ?
Hmm, No ... BUT, they were on a marrionette stage for a minute.

    Attack:
Do these "puppet people" actually attack anything ?
Hmm, I have to say no on this one too.

So the "OF THE" is the only thing correct about the movie's title.

Now let's get to the movie itself ....

Strangley enough, I always liked it a lot.

One of its highlights is bad SFX used effectively ... including using mini 2-d photo's of the actors inside glass jars to represent shrunked people.

So what did you think of Attack of the Puppet people ?

    Hmmmm....

I like this one too, but it has a weird aspect that a lot of movies from the time shared: it doesn't end, so much as STOP. Right at the point the action is over, the credits roll; even though we don't know what happened to the doctor, or the puppet people, or the other bystanders.

It was a typical Bert I. Gordon knockoff of a popular trend as usual. And yeah, the title's right up there with Attack of the Clones for stuff not actually happeneing in the movie.

Watched it about a month ago, it's typical Mr. B.I.G fair. I like the novelty of it.

It's one of those movies that is always in my periphery. There's a Midnite movie dvd of that right? I'll have to see it sometime (along with a thousand other things)

Considering all the weird crap I've watched over the years, I can't believe I've never heard of it either.

If you like the old Twilight Zone, you'd probably like it.

                    It has that feel.

Oh yeah, the old TZs are really cool. I'll keep an eye out for the film, I just can't believe that I've never read about it anywhere.

I watched it last night too. It wasn't what I expected, but it was a good movie, anyway. Is it me, or did his machine look like Dr. Shrinker's shrinking ray? This movie must have been a favorite of Sid and Marty Krofft.
