yeah, I think Sept 9th. I am looking forward to this one. I have held off on buying any of the other Rock Band games in anticipation of the Beatles version. -
Paulie says it'll broaden the appeal of the Beatles and their music. That's a good thing.
Still, I wish Apple Corp would buy the rights from King Features's The Beatles Saturday Morning Cartoon and pay off McFarlane to use these guys...
And hire a group of animators to produce a new animated series.
Can you think of a beter way to expose a whole new generation to The Beatles?90, Joe 90.... Great Shakes : Milk Chocolate -- Shaken, not Stirred.Comment

I have all of the Guitar Hero and RB games that have been released for the PS3 so far, and am really looking forward to the Beatles one too. I think there will be a deluxe set that will include instruments based on ones that the band played too.Comment

I read yesterday that George Harrison's son slipped and said the Beatles edition will have some unreleased Beatles songs on it. Could be interesting.
I will get the stand alone for the wife, huge Beatles fan.

Why is that? I believe that the Beatles game will be a stand alone game and won't work with Rock Band 1 or 2 (i.e. you won't be able to transfer the Beatles songs to RB 1 or 2, or visa versa. All the instruments should be compatible with everything else though). So if you like some songs on RB 2, why not get that and play it until the Beatles one comes out.
I figured I would wait for the Beatles edition instruments as well. No need to buy the current ones and have duplicatesComment

I wish those Beatles instruments weren't so spendy. The box set comes with the game, Hoffner bass, drums and mike for $250.00. Rickenbacker and Gretsch guitars sold separately at $100 a pop (so we're talking $450 if a diehard fan wanted everything!). As cool as these instruments look from the pics I've seen, I think I'll just get the game by itself and use my trusty Guitar Hero Les Paul.Comment

I wonder if this will appeal to a new generation of kids.
My kids don't seem to like Beatles songs and with a bunch of companies using their songs for commercials...they say something like "isn't that the song from the Target commercial?"
