"The Cloud Minders": Creating a custom figure of Plasus

Here is a semi pictorial of part of the process we go through with making a custom Star Trek character figure.
Each figure may be created differently. In this case i am using an existing Mego head of The Wizard of Oz and creating the planet of Ardana's leader and High Advisor, who is also the father of Droxine. Plasus is of course from the episode "The Cloud Minders", and in this example I try to re-create him with a combination of using a dremel, a razor blade and then some sculpting clay:

Now that the head is done enough so the clothing can be fitted, I then pass it along to my wife.
When she is done, she will give it back for final touch ups and tweaking before getting carded.
Up next, pics of my wife creating his clothing.

Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

        Beautiful Work..!!

        'Course, I'd love a Droxine...

My wife watched that rerun again and couldn't believe how little she was actually wearing..

Here you can see that she has been able to find the correct screen accurate looking fabric and has already created the basic outer robe:

and has just started to create the inner section as well:

The inner fabric is actually more of a silver color but the flash from my camera makes it look more like the same color as the robe.

Thank you for posting. I just love to see photos of works in progress, because before completing one figure there really is a lot more to it than just the finished portrait.
