any thoughts of this upcoming film.I have seen a couple of trailers and Director McG looks like he just ripped off the The Road Warrior scenes and added cgi to them .James Cameron had nothing to do with this production in early reports it was said that he gave his blessing not true.I still love the original from 1984 was such a low budget B- film but cameron worked for Roger Corman for a years before directing this and learned all the tricks of the trade from the master still debating whether to actually go the the theaters

I am really Jazzed about this Movie.
I love all thing Terminator,.. & hopefully this Movie will be no Different.
Cameron has a Major Problem of Getting off of his Arse & Getting Projects Done. Remember How the Guy Had the Script to Spider-Man for like 5 Yrs,.. & did nothing with it , Anyone ? ... Titantic was his Box office Masterpiece ( I didn't care for it) ,.. & it seems after that Movie,.. he had little interest in anything else.
I think Terminator Salvation will be good.... Someone told Me Arnie Might have some sorta Cameo in the Film,.. anyone Know if it's true ?

I am looking forward to it. I have heard that they may CGI Arnie on to a skin job for a brief scene, but I think it's just a rumor.

It looks really good to me,can't wait
Hmmmm....
I really liked the original movie; but I haven't cared so much for anything after: the comics, the movies, the tv show.... Mostly 'cos the first film was so self contained, and given the limited nature of the original scenario everything after feels like a rehash.
So.... Skynet sends ANOTHER Terminator back..... eh....

^^^^ I don't know. I've been watching the tv show and the last few episodes have been especially good. The season finale is next Friday and it looks great. Quite a few shockers on last night's episode.

I look forward to seeing the new movie.
I tried to like the TV series, but sorry folks, I think it sucks.
The actress is definitely no Linda Hamilton (she doesn't have that gritty, gloomy edge), and the rest of the cast don't convince either. I stopped watching mid-season one.
But the movie sounds great!
Heck, John Connor is even fighting troublesome DPs on set!

The TV IS the best thing on TV right now,... next to 24 imo.
It doesn't suck,.. & add's aton of Mythos into the World. I have liked the show, since season 1..., & have watched every Episode. I will admit, however with this season (3) it was a real slow start,.. & a couple of the episodes dragged a bit,.. but they seem to be back on track.
& Lena Headey is way Hotter than Linda ever thought about being.

Yeah I didn't want to go and blurt it out LOL, but that's the main thing I was talking about. Brain Austin-Green is one of the main stars so I couldn't believe they did that either. Just out of the blue, too. Not even a heroic death or anything. Almost like he asked for a raise so they decided to put a bullet in his head in the next episode, LOL.
I almost thought that the lady terminator (shirley manson) was going to kill the ex-FBI guy (the black guy) that works for her while they were in that elevator. (sorry, man names are a blank today! haha)
Plus they killed off that guy that was a father-figure to John in the previous episode (at the lighthouse), not to mention John's girlfriend & Dereks girlfriend recently as well.
I almost thought they were going to kill Sarah too. At least then I would've known SOMETHING would happen to change the recent events (someone would go back in time and save them all) but then that would seem a little too convenient and almost hokey/predictable at this point.

I also watch the Sarah Chronicles faithfully! It's a great show, despite a few slow episodes(which BK mentioned). And I was bummed they killed Reese last night...why?? I do like how john seems to becoming more of a Soldier now...though reluctantly.
As for Terminator Salvation...Christan Bale as John Conner? Bring it on!!!
>Actually this Film takes place in the Future Bro,..
Even THAT kinda bugs me, since in the original film Skynet was already defeated before the movie started. So the future war is... was.... um.... will be already over. Sending Arniebot back was a last-ditch sort of thing for Skynet.
>but I'm really getting tired of all the angst on the show
They need a puppy. "Nice puppy. Pet the puppy. Wait.... the puppy is a TERMINATOR!!! AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!"
Skynet wins. The end.

& AS Arnie said in Terminator 3 ... " You can not stop Jugdement Day,.. it IS inevitable. ''
In Both 2 & 3,.. & even the 1st Film,... No Terminator nore Reese from the Future, EVER said they were going to stop anything,... that Was everyone else, They Just rolled with the Idea(s). They were only there just to protect John.

Let Me see....
End of the World...
The Human Race is near it's Mass produced end...
All the Main character's Know what Await's....
The Main character's are being Hunted ...
Several of the Main Actor's are Playing Robots....
Yeah,.. I could see How some Penis & Fart Jokes would fit right in. :smiley1:
I wonder Just How Busy Seth Rogan really is. lol.
Or May Be a couple of Can's of Al Pa Chino's Booty Sweat would liven things up a bit.

I enjoy the SCC.
About Salvation I have a wait and see attitude.
But a major strike against it is McG. After seeing Charles Angels and what a vacant, A.D.D. addled mess that was (where they didn't even try to hide that they were ripping off stuff visually like the bullet time scene in Matrix) and just the general annoyance factor of his pseudo-hip, pretentious 3 letter name, I enter any movie of his with skepticism (if at all).
I do enjoy what the paper said about Salvation in it's listing of upcoming movies this summer. It said "See what all the screaming was about..."
I think it would be a great official tagline for the movie.

If I knew the end of the world as we know was coming to an end...I'd be drinking tequila non-stop...doing all kinds of drugs...and having unprotected sex with any available willing female out there.

And I was bummed they killed Reese last night...why?? :
It's either Fake,.. but then there was the Grave Digger at the end of the Show... Or Green must Have commited to another Project,.. or there was a Contrat Disput. Something doesn't add up, or Make sense. They spent soooooo, much time developing the character,.. only to Die with a Mere Bullet in the Head you didn't even see comming seems stupid ,.. something doesn't add up. :googly:
BTW..., I DO realize thats all it would take for a Human to Die,.. but come on, this is HollyWood,.. & that Character was probably that Guys best Role Ever. :sarky:

Agreed! They spent so much time making us like Reese, and developing his character...that offing him in such a quick manner, it just doesn't add up.:googly: Either it's like you said...a "Contract Dispute"...or Reese is coming back.

^^^^^Was I the only one waiting for his eyes to glow red when they did the close-up on his face?
:smiley1:
I agree 100% with both you guys. Something doesn't seem right.
I mean, even the guy at the lighthouse got a heroic send-off (protecting John with cover fire while he escaped on the boat) and he wasn't even as pivotal a character as Derek. (although I did like him and wished they did more with him)

I love the casting of Bale (internet leaked rant aside), I am glad they finally are going to do the Prequel/Sequel set in this devastated future at last. I am holding back my expectations given that McG doesn't much of a track record with this type of thing (and two Charlie's Angels movies do not count!).

Or am I thinking of another show?
That's been a pretty good show all along.

I didn't think the 1st Charlie's Angles was too Bad....
It was part 2 that was a Pile,.. I couldn't figure out what was going on,.. & figure out where the characters were going,.. how they got there, then they saved the Day. :googly:

Except for the unbelieveable beginning part where they jump into the helicopter falling off the bridge, I kind of liked part 2. Ok and the Bernie Mac as Bosley part was lame, too. Ok so it wasn't that great but it did have a hot Demi Moore. Does that count for anything? LOL
