    scaling down a 12 inch pattern

    how do i scale this down to mego scale thanks.

    Place an original shirt or pants in a photocopier and get it copied from all sides, but shrinking the size to an approximate one (have an 8 inch outfit handy for comparison),..then cut out the patterns leaving 1/2 inch out for stitching space. Works for me.

      I did this with the 12" BR outfits. First I made paper templates of the different parts (sleeves, back, front) in the unsewn state, added extra material at the sewing line. Then I scanned the whole thing, reduced the scanned picture in Photoshop, printed it out again and cut the fabric from the resulting pattern.
