The classic Saturday morning series, Monster Squad (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Monster-Squad-Complete-Collection/11564), which predates the movie of the same name, is coming to DVD with an official release that includes all the episodes! Can't wait, I'm drooling already! :costumed-smiley-078

My son is tailor-made for this. He got hooked on the classic monsters this Halloween, so I know he'll like it. I've been curious about it ever since I saw Brian's posts on it.

Looking forward to this! This is what's great about the DVD format....all those shows you forgot about and thought that everyone else forgot about as well will all make their way to DVD eventually.

Cool, I once read they never release this because the masters recordings were wiped but I also read that 3 of the filmation live action Ghostbusters episodes were wiped too and they managed to find them to release the DVD set.

I was a video dealer back in the eartly ninties and I heard that "all the masters were wiped" rumour about almost every saturday morning show including Ark 2, Isis, Monster Squad and Logan's Run.
One really cocky jerk told me I was never going to see Shazam again.

It ran on NBC Saturday mornings circa 1976. I don't think it was ever syndicated beyond that.
