Wow is this good.

I was a little hesitant on this one casue I really disliked Frank's art on his LoSH story previous to this. He felt it necessary to draw everyone's teeth, each individual molar, which was distracting. It just didn't mesh very well with the story. Perhaps I'm neing petty on that, but what an improvement.

This is spectacular artwork. I know BK has told me he channeled Chris Reeves in his portrayal and he's dead on. This is so slick and polished. I am beyond impressed. Johns' story is very cool too and brings a new dimension to Braniac and possibly re-writes history as to why Krypton's sun exploded. I'm only halfway through, but this appears to have all that's needed to be one of my personal favorite Supes stories ever.

It was a little pricey at 20 dollars for such a short story, but I have a feeling this is a quality, not quantity, book here that I'll treasure. Awesome stuff indeed.

Johns and Frank on Action is pure gold! Too bad they're off the book right now, prepping for Superman:Secret Origin. But that should be worth it! I only wish the other writers on the Superman titles (hint, hint James Robinson) would step up and deliver the same level of greatness that Johns/Frank are. Especially when you have the triangle numbering back and the stories flow from one book to another...

Desperate fishing attempt:

anyone happen to have a copy for sale or know where I can get (besides ebay) a copy of Adventure Comics Special featuring the Guardian? (part 3 of new krypton story arc). Comic shop guy shorted me and can't find one anywhere reasonable. Still havent read this arc...need that issue!
