Hey guys would'nt it be cool if we could some how add like a price guide type thing for the mego items, not the prices that these crappy magazines and books give you,but one that you the experts know, like for example a loose price,a moc price and a price we could expect from ebay, maybe make it to like a sticky thread or something.what do you guys think?

A price guide would be good in theory........

But in reality, it could never be even close to accurate.

It would be like having a Gasoline price guide

I think Danno's rarity index is the best thing that could have been done on the subject.

Yes, the rarity index has often advised me as to whether or not to go for something on ebay.

You could have a thorough listing of various mego items, and when a particular item completed an ebay auction, a volunteer (who followed the auction) could add the date and final price. Some more common items wouldn't need every auction result listed, but you get the idea..

yeah I see what you guys mean, but it could be just like an average price you know? atleast to give some people an idea of what they are worth and what to expect:D

Old topic debated repeatedly, with the conclusion that it would be WAY too inaccurate and impossible to keep up to date.

The closest we could probably come would be to take a snapshot of recent prices and mark it as such. Still an incredible undertaking, which would lead to much debate and put us in the position of either having to keep it up to date frequently or be used against us as some sort of definitive guide no matter how much we protest. I can see the links to the guide being used in eBay auctions for crappy Kirks that would be lucky to get $10 on ebay because we somehow stated that a mint complete loose example should bring in $30.
