View Full Version : Aqua-Roos
http://www.plaidstallions.com/images/aquaroos.jpg (http://www.plaidstallions.com/images/aquaroos.jpg) While I've seen Underoos in catalogs for years, it's usually just showing the usual Batman and Spider-Man but here's a rare occasion when they feature one of my favourites Aquaman and not only that but they're snubbing the caped crusader!
It's crazy hard to find Aquaman merchandise in catalogs, as Rob from the Aquaman Shrine (http://www.aquamanshrine.blogspot.com/) will attest to.....

I know that I had that Spider-Man ands Superman set. I vividly remember putting the Superman undershirt on the white puppy. Tne she preceded to run out of door into the neighborhood with this on....lol I think it took an hour to catch her!
Anyhow, Underoos, were so popular back then. I bet they were an even bigger sucess than imagined.

I don't know Cat. They made Batgirl, Supergirl and Wonder Woman underoos.
I bet that Aquaman set MIP would cost a pretty penny these days.

I had all of those in the first pic. My son still has my very faded Aquaman shirt. I used to wear them as regular t-shirts all the time. I didn't wear the underwear on the outside of my pants though.
The Hulk one always bothered me. My son has a new Hulk shirt that is green with black muscles printed on it, and the top of his purple pants at the bottom. Finally, they got it right.

Spider-Woman seemed to have her costume painted on. Maybe it was the lack of cape and belt, but she was just all woman. She made me feel funny, even as a boy. I liked her look much more than the character.
