Here's my 2nd attempt at sculpting a head, this time it's Col. Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man...

I still need more practice, but for my second try at sculpying I'm pretty happy with it so far.

You are soclose with that sculpt.
It's obvious who he is by the eyes and bridge of nose. THe hair screams Fall Guy. The lips need a little work and possibly raised. He's got that Carl Spackler from Caddyshack thing going on. Otherwise, this is a terrific way to start. I can do a few things in the custom world, sculpting is not one of them. Excellent.

I think it's looking quite a bit like him in the eyes and nose. I think scott's right about the mouth though. His upper lip is too long. Do you have some photos of Austin's profile? I find that area of the face to be the toughest to sculpt, myself.

This is a VERY good start. The hair is damn near perfect. I have to disagree with you Scott. The Fall Guy doo is more parted in the middle and feathered back. Now the lips are just alittle too pouty and the center of the brow needs to be more deeper. These are very minor things that should be easy to to adjust. Please don't take any of my crits the wrong way. You are very close on this.

He still needs a little bit of work, but you can definitely recognize him

Thanks for the encouragement, I am glad that you can recognize who it is supposed to be. I need to work on the lower part of the face and mouth, but I already baked the sculpy and hope it won't crumble if I try to sand it a little. Anyone know if the hardened sculpy is too brittle to work on?

Thanks Piecemaker, that's good to know. I'll probably work on it some more tonight after work.

Updated, worked on the mouth and jaw a little more, then decided to add some paint and see how it looked.

It is starting to look more like Steve Austin but as for right now you nailed the likeness of someone else....Roger Moore as James Bond
