Finally The pride of my custom collection Sulu.Now this is a guy I've wanted since I was a little kid.
Parts used:Kirk body
Kirk clothes/weapons(I'll be replacing shirt with one from the dr0
Head from the Dr.
Paint by me(not happy yet I will redo the eyes)

Great set man,the Sulu looks awesome,now you just have to move Kirks hand away from Bones,Kirk looks to happy there :grin:

One of my first custom purchases were painted Chekov and Sulu heads. Clearly one of Mego's biggest holes, especially with a Bridge playset and navigation console.

No Star Trek crew is complete without Sulu (and Chekov ;) ). You did a great job, he fits right in

Very nice paint job on the head. Which paint brand/color didyou use?
I use Folk Art from Wal-mart.I think it's like $1.39 for a 2oz bottle.I cheated on the flesh color.I ordered a flesh color head from the good dr. and just placed it in a heated BPI brown die for 8 seconds.Blammo instant mego flesh color.Then used Black for hair and brown and white for eyes.top it off with a satin finish for protection.
Yes I hope Sulu and Chekov make it to the dr's new line as well.I agree MEGO dropped the ball here.I mean a neptunian and a Keeper instead of the crew come-on.
Thanks for all the input guys.I'm now setting my sights on Chekov,Arex(anyone with any odds an ends in red or orange you can send them this way :grin: ),Rand,Chapel and Lt.Leslie.possibly Mr.Kyle and Khan.

Definetly have to have a custom Sulu. Sulu and Chekov were among my first
customs also.

I wonder how many of us have done figures of Sulu and/or Chekov?
