OK, I couldn't make it tomorrow, on the day itself, but I went today and I had a good seat: row 13, seat 13!

The audience were an odd bunch. Four other people in the house.
One was a mentally handicapped young man, and his grandmother.
He must have loved being scared, because the poor dude was scared to death by....the THX logo coming on. During the movie, I saw his head going lower and lower as he sank into his seat. Bambi, it ain't.... Maybe he picked the wrong theatre? (man, that WALL-E is some bad-*** killer robot)...
Next to me, a couple of seats to the right, were two Turkish girls (age 16-18), who seemed to come from a very sheltered upbringing. They wore head-scarves and all. Looked like they had said to Mom and Pop "we're going out shopping for shoes", but chose old Jason instead. They giggled and hid behind jackets most of the time.
The movie offered a lot:
Gore: A+
Naked girls (plus extra silicon): A+
Whenever there was gore on the screen, the girls seemed bored, but whenever there was sex on screen, they cheered! These gals were obviously on a study trip, to get some pointers for later. And here I was, totally available, but no.....
Movie over: The little old lady shakingly walked down the stairs going "my oh my".
This surely took ten years off her life....
As far as I'm concerned: I liked it! It's a mix of parts 1 to 3, good old-fashioned killings, sex still equals death in Friday the 13th, and Jason is in good form. The kills are imaginative. The makers said that Jason would have "depth and emotion" this time. I must have blinked and missed it, because the most emotion was a tilt to his head whenever he heard his name, and then crushed a girl to death. Us fans don't want depth, we want carnage!
So don't expect something new, it's good old slasher fun.
Go see it (little old lady is optional, of course)
And beware of that THX logo, that's just scaaarryyyyyy.....
