I posted last week that I found a signed 1st edition of Herb Caen's "Baghdad by the Bay". A cool find, kind of rare find.
Well, I decided to Google the name it is inscribed to, and come to find out, it was a famous jockey who was killed during a race. I dug a little further, and found out he was married Nan Grey, a famous horror actress. They divorced in 1950, so if Jackie got this book when it came out, Nan was the owner as well for one year. I don't think it will add too much value to the book.
Read the inscription, "Don't "ride" me too..."
