          Bears are natural swimmers that can swim over 100 miles at a time. Bears will often perch themselves on chunks of ice like this (formed/eroded by waves and sublimation) for a spell.

          Looks like this bear choose a chunk that was a little too small for him or her but it's not problem because there are usually many multi-sized chunks in the area ready for the bear (along with bottles of Coca Cola).

          It's unfortunate that these beautiful pictures of beautiful bears on beautiful formations of ice are used by some to fool some into thinking the bear is on the shrinking top of the last of the glaciers.
