Here's something I had NO idea of:

Giant Monsters Attack!: Rex Havoc: Humungus! (Part 1)

I barely remember the comic, but I'd definitely go see a book-accurate movie.

....And in case you're wondering why Rex isn't too bright; apparently he got brain damage during one adventure when a vampire whacked him with a golf club.

Apparently the Rex Havoc appeared in at least issues #4, #5, #6 & #9 of 1984. Searching around I also found mention of a Rex Havoc & A**kickers of the Fantastic 1988 short film by Tony Tilton.

Never saw this feature in 1984, I only saw a couple of later issues with Diana Jacklighter, Manhuntress.
