Cereal box surprise

I just got my loose 12 inch Cyberman shipped to me in...a cereal box.
Can you believe it?
I'll admit, the guy put one layer of bubble wrap around the figure first, but that box arrived crushed and torn, with the figure banging around inside.

This makes me sooooo mad..........

Did it come from Europe, or survive an overseas flight from USA?

I once ordered a Dapol Patrick Troughton from England and it arrived in a flimsy cookie box.

I guess $20.00 for the figure and $10.00 for shipping wasn't enough money that I deserved a decent box.

This happened to me a lot when I order from the UK.

They must have a box shortage there

Yep, it's from the UK.
Wales, to be exact.

So, as far as I'm concerned, not a long flight at all. The UK is our neighbouring country.
Apparently, they enjoy eating Puffed Wheat a lot.....

I now have a battle-damaged figure with "crushed chest piece".....

That Sucks so Bad. I hate getting items in Flimsy cheap packaging. It's been awhile since I've had it happen.

There should be some kind of international mailing standard where a corrugated must be used for all BOX shipping.

Postal services allowing non-corrugated boxes are just asking for trouble with insurance claims.

Here in the United States if you bring a flimsy box in to mail, many postal people will refuse to accept it and send you home telling you to "pack it better".
It never happened to me, but i've seen it happen in line on a few occasions.

The PO actually refused to ship it until it was put in a better box.

Thats rediculous that he would ship it like that i put in an order to usps all the time they send me free boxes to ship in are people that lazy these days...

Hope your Cyberman was okay. Some people are just lazy. Others are just cheapskates. Either way, it's really annoying. Last week I got something just wrapped in brown paper...no padding at all. Grrr.

What kind of cereal was it anyway?

I sent Earth2Chris a cereal box with a Hulk figure inside of it about a week ago but that cereal box was inside a priority package. He didn't complain, so I think it worked out pretty well.

I got a package once that was a cat food box or something. Same type of flimsy cereal box cardboard. I also got a package recently that was an inside-out priority box. Took over 3 weeks to get it and I had to pay postage due on it because the seller didn't put enough on and this is what it looked like:

Please don't label us all in the UK as bad packers . There is nothing worse than something arriving badly packed.
Rest assured, the next Mego I send will have the empty oil can cleaned out before I stick him in

No, amazingly nothing was broken and there were 5 figures in that package.
