Went to Walmart early this morning and noticed the new Hotwheel 66 Batmobile is out on shelfs. Only difference in this one is the awsome package art of the Batmobile and it has new gold rims. I was lucky to pick up 2.

Always the same with the Hot Wheels Batmobile...At first nobody can find them, the scalpers charge a arm and a leg for theirs...and next thing you know, theres a whole bin of them at the local TRU.

So this is the same one that was impossible to find a couple of years ago and now it's out again with gold rims? I remember when I originally found mine. I came across it completely by accident when I was looking in a mark down bin at Walmart. It blew my mind! I looked so long I had lost interest. I won't chase after that scale anymore. I found the big diecast one about a year ago at ToysRUs where the doors open and the wheels turn. That took care of my fix.

I feel ya, bro!! That Hot Wheels 1/18th scale '66 Batmobile blew me away when it came out!!
As I saw it, there was pretty much no reason to get any of the smaller ones once the 1/18th scale car was released.
The others looked like inaccurate crap next to it.
There's talk of Hot Wheels releasing a 1/18 scale '66 Bat cycle now too! I am so there for that!!!!

It's been out for awhile now. I really like the package art. Very cool.
I think Hot Wheels has done a nice job on all of these. It's cool to walk into Wal-mart and see an old friend staring back at you!

I still pick them up when I see them. I'd like to find a 2009 on a small card.

Wow! I hadn't heard that! Thanks for the news Darklord! Yeah, the 1/18th scale bug has bitten me pretty bad when it comes to the Batmobile and related vehicles for the 66' classic. I have that on display next to a 1/18th scale Mach 5 in one of my bookcases. I don't miss a day looking at it.

I see the '66 Batmobile in my area all the time now. I remember having a little trouble getting one when they first came out but they seem very common in Temecula now. My son has 5 of them. I just bought him one with gold rims when I was out of town. I didn't realize there was a difference, but the one I just bought looked different somehow. Now I know it was the rims. My son loves the "Batmanbile" and doesn't mind having more than one. But then, he's 3.
