Many of you have never heard of this show but if you grew up in Canada, especially in the 70's, this thing was on every Saturday morning. Why? Because adults wouldn't watch it, maybe kids would. I sure as hell did.

I give you the Trouble with Tracy!

Opening Intro- Hilarious! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEshPX5YHYE)

Many of the voice cast of the old Spider-man cartoon made appearances on this show.

In case you think I'm lying, an actual scene. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFLEvAhSTwQ)

While I wait for the clip to load on my slow-connection, I must say that I believe the worst American sitcom ever made was Small Wonder. Oh, the horror, the horror.

AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!! Small Wonder was unspeakably vile. Many's the time I'd injure myself racing across the living room to change the channel when I'd hear that awful theme song playing. Now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head all night. Curse you, Earth 2 Chris!!!!

Small Wonder rules. The annoying neighbor Harriet was great.

Harriet WAS a cutie wasn't she?

For some reason, she's the first thing I think of when I think of that show

Small Wonder the worst sitcom ever? There are many many more horrible sitcoms than Small Wonder...."Friends" immediately comes to mind first. There are many others......

You win Brain, that was bad. Real bad. Laugh Tracks in the opening credits are never a good sign.

Small Wonder wasn't even so bad it was good. It was just awful. Tracy is pretty boring, but Vicki wins the prize.

I'm waiting for the movie version.

Bagging on Small Wonder as a "very bad" sitcom makes sense I guess---

But the worst? Or even "one" of the worst?
I question that.

At least the premise----a girl robot that can't be exposed to
outsiders as being a robot, and a real girl playing the part and speaking
in a monotone voice is enough of an original premise and wacky execution
to give it at least SOME kind of "ultimate so bad it's good" credibility
in my opinion

I'd put it up against the one-dimesional smash hits "Full House"
or "Growing Pains" any day as a better watch---altho' of course you're
usually laughing AT Small Wonder not WITH it :)

Another vote for Small Wonder. Even as a kid, I knew that show sucked.

Maybe it was because I was a pre-teen/teenaged girl while Growing Pains was on, but I liked it. Of course, it also might have been because my best friend wanted to marry Kirk Cameron :) I hated Small Wonder, and Full House was no better. I preferred Family Ties.

Apparently you people don't remember Meego. I had to see it. I wanted to gouge my eyes out, and my dad's for making me watch it.

I thought about Family Ties before I bashed Growing Pains and Full House

I agree Family Ties was one of the (at least) okay ones

Michael J. Fox is a great talent, and I think carried the show quite well

(Don't get me started on Back To The Future---I LOVE those movies!)

I remember Meego. It starred Bronson Pinchot as an alien and that annoying Lipnicki kid from Jerry Macguire. It did not last too long. The bad thing about Small Wonder was that it actually stayed on a few years. I can think of another show that lasted a few years, but was even worse than Small Wonder...
The Munsters Today.
John Schuck should have gone to jail for that show.

Full House! How sick are 3 grown men living with 4 little girls! Uncle Jessie just sounds wayyyy too bad! Oh how I hated that show!

Wow, that is pulling obscurity out of your nether regions. I now fully understand the depth of your Dad's cruelty. :googly:

So;

Who's gonna get the lead in the inevitable "Small Wonder" movie; and will it still be a comedy, or a dark gritty action story?

Oh Good Lord. I had erased that show from my memory. Thanks for bringing it back! Arrggghhh!!!

The late 80s were a cesspool of truely horrible new syndicated programming. Munsters Today, Small Wonder, My Secret Identity, the first season of Superboy (for the most part). It makes today's Reality TV Age seem like the Golden Age of Television.
