Anybody know how to track a package sent from Mexico City?
I have a tracking # from a seller, but no item. My local post office was not much help with it and I can't seem to find any info with the postal authority of Mexico on the web.
thanks

as long as it is a valid postal tracking # (ie , 2 letters, 9 numbers and ending in MX) then you can track it at USPS - The United States Postal Service (U.S. Postal Service) (http://www.usps.com) once it passes from Mexico into the US and is in the US postal system (generally first hub scanned after it clears customs)...
it should look something like:
RG123456789MX
then you know it is a valid # for the US postal service to track

Hiya newforce,
I tried that. No info. Must still be in MX or never actually shipped. ARRRGH. I have had a massive series of bad transactions starting in Nov. Feels like they are never going to end.
Sorry. Had to vent for a second. Back to cool

Mexico mail always takes longer to arrive than USA. Customs can stop a package for any reason. For me Mexico has taken on average 20 days for package to arrive. That's why more Mexican sellers do Fed Ex. Fed Ex carries package across border so it is much quicker but costly. Good Luck!
Thanks Neutron,
I'm pretty familiar with international transactions, but until now I have had no need to track anything with a MX point of origin.
It has been way past 20 days. I am getting jerked around by someone and just trying to see exactly what his deal is.
thanks

I live about 20 miles from the Mexican border and I purchased something from Mexico and it took about 5 weeks to get here. I had the same response when I ordered from Canada.
