Need Help with Spy Guard 2008

I have this %&^#&%&%ing piece of malaware called "Spyware Guard 2008" that I cannot remove!

I've tried to run some exe files but it somehow blocks them, it also screws with google and other things.

anybody have some advice on this thing?

I never heard of it but just did an internet search

If you Google "Spyware Guard 2008" a whole bunch of removal sites come up.

The only problem, i'm afraid to click on them to see what they say.

I had something like this called XP Antispyware 2009 and it was a major pain. I found the solution here
      Malware and Spyware Removal Guides

I don't see the one you have listed, but my guess is someone on the forums there knows how to get rid of it.

        Here it is!

How to remove Spyware Guard 2008 and Spyware Guard 2009 (Uninstall Instructions)

Like I said, I removed something else following these folks instructions and it worked great!

did you actually install that? or was it something that popped out when you went inside a site? cause you could just do that recovery thing on your computer where you go back to let's say last week, and everything you down loaded from then to now will delete.

I did that and it went back to normal

            Hmmmm....

I usually end up manually removing stuff like this. And if that fails, I got all my data on external disk, so I just reformat my whole system.

....had to do this a month or so back when I got hit with something called "Downloader.ZLOB Agent.AHRN."

I like running Spybot Search and Destroy on my windows PCs. Its great at keeping the spyware off the PC
