Wow !!!

He looked so frail these past few years i'm not surprised he passed away.

I'm glad he lived long enough to see himself finally become a Mego

Wow. He was always entertaining in everything he did. Brought class to every project, no matter how cheap or silly it may seem.

He left us with some good entertainment.

"Smiles everyone. Smiles!"

Some of his most recent work was in the Spy Kids movie series. Even though he was confined to a wheelchair, his regal authority was as bright as ever. RIP

his wife passed away in '07, seems that couples married for a long time usually follow each other in death pretty quickly...of course they are both usually pretty old too. He was a charismatic man and will be missed.

Montalban's chest as Khan was real.

He's always been in fantastic shape...an athlete, a real man's man.

Here he is in his younger days, and tell me that's not an athlete's body (I mean come on...look at those pecs)...

"That is his real chest," the director said as he held court on the carpet outside the Paramount Theatre, emphatically assuring reporters that Ricardo Montalban's pectorals were no special effect. "That's the question I'm asked most frequently about 'Star Trek II.' It was his chest!"...Wrath of Khan director, Nicholas Meyer.

I met several Trek stars when I was working at QVC meeting him was the highlight and he was extremely gracious. He was my favorite Loved him in Battleground his death scene with Van williams was truly moving; Khan marked our favorite movie st2 ; and most of us dreamed of being on the Island.

He will be missed as will our Friend Number 6

I knew that was his real chest! I get into more arguments about this. You can see the flesh heaving, the muscles rippling as he breathes; no muscle-suit has even been anywhere near as convincing.

Viva Khan/Mr. Roark/Armando!

I was at a Trek convention a few years back where he was listed as a guest. I thought 'wow', I get to meet Kahn and add an Armando to my Ape autograph collection. Turns out he just did a pre-taped presentation that they played in the main hall and they sold some pre-signed photos, guess he just wasn't up to it even at that point.

He lived a long, successful life. He definitely had "it". He was loaded with charisma. He was still great in the Spy Kids movies and I must say, as a non Trek fan, brought out the best in Shatner.

I seem to remember he had a chronic leg injury that gave him excruciating pain every day of his life. This rather limited his acting roles and convention appearances. :-(

Viva Khan/Mr. Roark/Armando!

I know. If they tried to do a fake chest plate for him in all the scenes he was in, it would look like a fake chest plate.
