I'm guessing the Master isn't really dead and that he'll return. There seemed to be a clue that this might happen.

Contrary to previous speculation, the Toclofane are not Timelords.

His death does appear to be planned though.

It seems like any former baddy that was brought back was never really killed off for the sake of one story ...

The Daleks or DALEK is still floating around somewhere.......
Cybermen can be created very easily.......
So hopefully, the Master's not gone for good.

I read rumours on a another site where some people think the wife will be the new Master next season.....

I thought that was the biggest load of rubbish I've ever seen in Doctor Who. After the first two parts this is one major anti-climax! They could have done so many other things with this, but no, RTD had to ruin it all.

My remote control is in the garden, in pieces!

I just watched it .......

It was ok, but not stunning....

I think the Series-2 season finale was much better.
and series-1 was better too.

To me, it was a letdown

Not sure what they're planning on doing with the Master.
That ending made me think of the Flash Gordon movie ending

Ok, I just finished this and I have to put it into two camps, things I liked and things I didn't:

Liked:
I'm a big fan of "one year later" type stories where the world has crumbled, DC has done these from time to time and they're always fun.

The Toclufane revelation was really well done, didn't see it coming and it creeped me out.

Mentioning of Axons, Sea Devils and Daleks was a really nice touch.


Disliked:

Turning the Doctor into some extra from Hogwarts really bothered me, it was weak.

RTD can sure build up a story but why does he feel the need to press the easy button to every one of these problems? "Poof the Doctor's magic, story
s over" AgggggghhhhhHHH!

There is no way the Master is dead, it's too obvious that he's not.
