Was Don (Dinah Mite's boyfriend) only issued on the plastic rivet body and are there any markings on the back of the neck?

No trace of markings on the back of the neck on mine and same pinkish fleshtone as a normal type one Superman. Not sure if it was released with metal rivets but mine has plastic and has black shoes.

Mine has plastic joints, no neck marks and white AJ shoes. I got it MIB.

Is that a Bruce head or a Superman head? I know that Mego was fond of recycling their guys.
BTW, where can I get one?

mine has plastic joints too and the white shoes like Scott's got mine a while ago. Never seen a boxed one for sale. I'd love to find one some day.

Silly question.
Since the shoes are still mego and are identical to AJ shoes does that mean if someone put AJ shoes on it with pinholes from being carded it would make it worth less? It's still all original technically.
Are the clothes tagged? Since they are basically AJ clothes as well.
Scott's pic looks like he's wearing AJ boots?? Accy Ck says he should have football/baseball shoes which are different. Gallery pics on Don are not helpful.

To me shoes with pin holes belong on AJ. Shoes without can belong to a boxed AJ, Peter Parker or Don.
I'll have to check mine to see if they are tagged. I personally think the shirt and pants aren't exactly AJ parts. To me they have enough of a difference in pattern, cut and style to be unigue to Don. Hopefully Dave can shed some light in this in the new AJ acessory check he's working on.

That would be extremely helpful especially since this is considered such a rare figure and could be easily counterfeited if the differences (if any) are not made clear.
I passed on one on ebay because the seller didn't provide enough info to make me take a chance for the price. It would've been a steal if real or a very expensive Superman on vacation if not. Would love to see side-by-side comparison photos.

well the Don doll is a Clark Kent head with no markings on it so that is worth something right there and the body with the plastic joints are not all that common either. If you get the clark kent head on this body It's Don.
I don't collect AJ but mine came dressed exactly like Scott's. Should check it for any tags but sure it would be the same as AJ's would be tagged as all mego items are tagged, I think only maddie mod had different tags and that isn't proof either as AE Dick Grayson came with a maddie mod tag in his shirt. The shoes on mine I never checked for holes. I'm gonna do that tonight when I get home to see if they do.

Don and Clark Kent are different heads.
Don should have pinkish skin tone(like solid box/early 1st issue card heroes) w no markings

while CK has the coffee skin tone (which took over when Shazam and the rest of that wave came out)w no markings or faint markings.
It's like saying RM Robin's head and SI Dick Grayson's head are the same...they are NOT.
There IS an identifiable difference in the skin tones. To say these heads are the same is too broad of a statement.
Same thing w Bruce Wayne too.AE's should NOT have that pinkish skin tone.

Good to know but nearly imperceptible when dealing with photos on ebay. I'd probably be hard pressed to notice that especially without a side-by-side comparison.

hmmm I don't have a clark kent to compare right now but I used too but not at the same time but my Don's head is like the first issue heads and I didn't even think about. I guess I'll have to wait til I get my CK one day to compare in person.

Thanks to all for helping on this. I received a figure in a parts lot. It was a T1 body (no shirt) wearing either AJ Scamble Cycle pants or Don's pants and black boots. The head was a Supes but unlike any I've had before. I do have a T1 and T2 Supes but this head was a very pale pink in color (but no fading at all) but did have marking on the neck. At first I thought there were none but I could just barely make out 1972.

I have a Clark Kent and a Don. The heads are distinguishly different fleshtones. However, the fleshtone on Kent matches all my other SI's and the Fleshtone on Don match all my othter T1 SH heads. No trace of Copyright info on Don.
