Personally I don't like to say that anything is really finished until the customers
and the retailers have had a chance to give Diamond feedback.

I don't know for sure the details of Diamond license from Fox on Apes, but
Diamond does license many other lines from Fox, so I'm sure that if the
retailers and fans say they want more, agreements can be reached.

Would also love to see Urko and Ursus; along with horses and playsets (akin) to the Enterprise playset for Star Trek.

yeppers...there is no interest for me to buy the current four apes if there is no helmet Ursus coming...I was really looking forward to a Heston Taylor, but in another thread it was mentioned it was a no go.

Agreed! Urko (w/Helmet) was my favorite character from the series and I do have my original Mego version, but I would to have a brand spanking new one!

Wow - any particular reason? They haven't really been on the shelves long enough to figure sales trends, have they? Or were preorders weak on them to begin with?

Dang. Well, hopefully sales will be stong over the holidays and Diamond/Fox will decide to continue.

I think I will go do my part and buy a soldier today.

DST was only interested in making Cornelius, S.Ape, Zaius, and Zira after Fox
shot down characters from the TV show and sequels.

Sales were not great on the four - and given the economy lately - I doubt many
retailers will be interested in additional figures of minor characters from the
first film.

I believe in Apes - and hopefully one day the franchise will be respected.

Fox did not want DST to make the generic Mego Astronaut - and they were not
interested in getting permission to make a Heston Taylor.

I offered to make Landon and/or Dodge in ANSA suits as well as skins, but
the offer was rejected.

I would dearly love to see reissues of the Ape Generals.

I've supported the Apes reissues by ordering two of each at my local shop, and am thinking of getting more for kitbashing.

i also hope to see more on the apes,star trek and possibly wgsh,so far i gotten 4 sets of each and preordered 4 of each remaining,the doc and new force comics are great to deal with,please keep up all the good work guys.
