Seems like any site i've ever been on that has a counter will count up everytime you visit or even hit refresh.
Ebay's never did that and still don't.
Is that a special program that recoginizes your ISP everytime you visit ?
Or is their counter just crap and don't work half the time ?

Yea Mike,
ebay leaves cookies on your pc and logs your I.P.

The eBay counter I believe specifically only counts visitors, not page hits, so you have an idea of how many eyes have seen your auction.

That could depend on if someone uses an Andale counter and how they set it up.
They can be set up for individual or unique views.

And sometimes they are crap and don't work half the time.

I'm pretty sure the Ebay counter tally's only one hit from each computer. So if you're on the same computer and you check the same auction a bunch of times, it will only count it as one.
