I got my head handed to me the last time I asked a question because it had already been discussed, but for the sake of being a new member can someone PLEASE advice me as to proper washing of WGSH costumes. Thanks Mucho

It depends on the outfit. Some, like Supergirl's, are highly susceptible to dye bleeding.

If it is just a plain outfit with no cape attached I'll just use water and white Ivory bar soap. I get the outfit wet, get soap on my hands, and rub the suit together in my hands until it is squeecky clean.
I've washed 20+ outfits this way and they come out super nice and never had a problem.

Ivory soap does wonders.

I start out with wool-lite and water.

I will only let the outfit sit for a few minutes at a time and then rinse with water and keep repeating.

I've had a lot of success with it. Of course you have to remove paper emblems, etc. before you begin the procedure

Hmmmm....

Dish soap is pretty good too. It's mild, and most dish soaps are calibrated to break up oils. It'll get rid of fingerprints, crayon, stuff like that.
