        Nostalgiabuff,

Thanks but I didn't sold them to you.

        The Bat,

I checked my Corny package but I can't see the hands have hairy but I can see his half hands with fingers, not the wrists. The furn covered the hands.... I don't wanted to open it, I just need it for unopen package collection but when I got another one then I'll open the package and then I'll post pic for you to see his hands.

The picture of the soldier ape looks like a pig or a boar. Did the original package have this artwork?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

LOL! No, the Soldier Ape's face doesn't look like that but the artwork is on the front card that look like a Boar to me.

The vintage Soldier Ape card have the same original package artwork as that new one.

The weird thing is that new Soldier Ape's outfit look bigger and broad than original T-1 Soldier Ape.

Soldier Ape looks as if he's eaten one too many bananas.

You are used to seeing mostly type 1 soldier apes.

By the way, the apes have hairy hands as does the Mugato.

Yep, I saw mostly type 1 Soldier Apes with the gloves. I had some of variation T-1 Soldier Apes with the gloves, now I have variant T-1 Maroon and Silver Soldier Apes with the gloves in my collection. I don't mind my new Soldier Ape have type 2 body, he looks good! I keep him in my EMCE POTA collection close by original Mego POTA that'll look great. I can't wait to get set of EMCE Zira and Zaius packages!

You're not kidding - considering that his hands are covered by the gloves - I was a little surprised that my guy in China was willing to cast the hands separately and substitute
the hairy hand for the regular hand in assembly.

I found out that he is a big fan of POTA and remembers when Mego was making them
                        in Hong Kong.
