The Remco (http://www.plaidstallions.com/remco/1980.html) Monsters at Home series is a weird little footnote in Monster toy lore, basically the company took the heads and hands of their 9" Universal Monster dolls (http://www.plaidstallions.com/remco/remcomonsters.html) and made these charming little hand puppets complete with a plastic environment.
What's weird is, it all sort of makes sense, Dracula has a coffin, the Mummy a tomb, the Creature a sea chest and Frankenstein..... OK they don't all work but there is something likable about this line.

I wonder why the Wolfman and Phantom of the Opera didn't make it though, the Phantom could have popped out of an organ...

Mummy Mint On Card, he looks pretty sleepy.

The Front of Frankenstein's "home"

See that look? That's the same face I make when you knock on my door on Saturday morning
I'm missing the Creature if anybody has a picture they'd like to contribute, drop me a line (jerkass@plaidstallions.com).

Those are sweet! I love how their hands are "opening" the doors in the package. Dracula looks esp. cool there.

Remco, did some good thing back in 79/80, loved their 3.75. I think there are two versions of each one glowing dark/one not. To bad you don't have a carded Creature puppet.

Those are pretty cool. And they'd work well w/ Hugo too, if you wanna make your own mad monster movie puppet show!

It's like the monsters are guest starring on Laugh-In.

Glad you posted those! Been trying for a while to get a loose set, pretty tough though. They are cool in their own little quirky way.:cool_y:

Did anyone ever have The Herman Munster puppet? My uncle gave me one when I was really young and it scared me to death. My Dad had to get rid of it because it made me cry so much.
