    Record Prices for Vintage Toys

Can anyone help me out here? I'm working on something.

I seem to recall a Kregse RM Robin going for 12 K at one point but I'm looking for non mego stuff too, any memories would be appreciated.

One that would have to be up there was the Ideal JLA playset in the box. Didn't it go for like $40,000 or something nuts like that a few years ago?

A Kresge RM Robin did sell on Hakes about two years ago for $12,000 ($13,500 if you consider Buyer's Premium).

I don't know if you want to include non-US toys in this, but there were a couple examples of the very rare Garada K-7 Jumbo Machinder figure sold on Yahoo Japan auctions a couple years back. The first one went for the equivalent of around $25,000, while the second one went for about $15,000 (it probably would have went for more, but the auction title was not clear, as the seller had no idea about what they were selling, it's proper name, or it's rarity. But obviously some bidders still found it). These were loose specimens, a boxed one has never been seen or sold.

Then there are the Mego Stretch figures that have gone for big bucks.

I sold a mint in box Mego Green Arrow car for $700.

A Estes 6' model of Apollo 11 for over $300.

These are not mega bucks, but pretty much top of the food chain for their type.

This may not be what you are wanting....but I know 1930's Disney toys fetch big, big bucks at auction.

A very high grade 1928 German Mickey/Minnie tin motorcycle brought $75,000 a couple years ago at a Bill Bertoia auction.

A large pair of Minnie and Mickey Mouse dolls made by Charlotte Clark ca1930’s sold at a Hake’s Americana & Collectibles Auction for $150,000 last year I believe.

I don't know if this counts but didn't the first G.I. Joe prototype doll get sold to a private collector somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000?
