    Dying Doc Mego suits?

    Has anyone tried dying Doc Mego suits? What are the results--does the fabric hold the dye well (evenly)?

    I'm thinking of dying some of the gray "playboy" suits and curious about the results. I don't want to waste one.

      Don't know about the grey Playboy Suit...but the Body Suits don't take Dye well.

          Joel aka Cadmus Customs successfully dyed a suit to a royal blue. I think the dress suits should be fine since the fabric is a cotton blend. The lycra bodysuits have some sort of treatment to preserve color and that makes them resistant to RIT dye. Doc Mego might know more, but there is a chemical or cleanser that can make it easier to color/dye.

              They do dye if you follow the instructions closely. Also know that the thread will NOT dye to the same color as the fabric...it usually dyes lighter.
