Just wanted to say hello. Newbie/40 years/megohead as a child. Found the site after a mego purchase. Saw the cards on ebay and almost bought but someone listed saying it was a rip-off. Much thanks. I imagine that is very much old news here but it's all new to me. I am considering a purchase of some old mego items including Batomobile, Batbike, CaptainAmericar, and several megos and costumes in various degrees of condition. Hate to spend the money but MUST...HAVE...MEGOS...
I'd love to start a card collection, also.
Take care,
chalwa

Welcome!! I know what you mean about getting Megos. I started out just getting what I had as a kid, then found out about all the other MEGO COOLNESS out there! Don't think I'll ever get it all, but being here helps!

Thanks for the welcomes!
I didn't tell you what my recent purchase was that got me back in to megos: A Hall of Justice! Found it at an Antique Mall for a paltry sum and it is complete with perfect table and a couple of shoes. One Joker shoe and a robin shoe! Also came with a Kirk chair from the Star Trek playset and an Oz green chair from the Wizard of Oz playset! Someone must've had 'em all!
I discovered on this site that it is not all that common. Yay, me!
The only thing I am unsure of is the handle. It looks vintage but there is some light distress around the edges and I wonder about it. It is white with ridges running the length of it. Any ideas, out there?
Who do I go to about cards? I'd love to have one. What are the stats on them? Are some harder to find than others?
How much would a Bat bike go for with all stickers intact and not broken at the sidecar connection? Looks a little played with, but don't they all?

Check the museum home page www.megomuseum.com, there you will find a checklist of all the cards. So far, all the WGSH and Trek have been done. The first of the Apes cards just came out.

These are given out as promotional items and to trade around here on the boards. Stuck on the top of this forum is a trading card thread where people go to trade cards. Make it know you are looking and you'll get some response.

As for batbike prices, I would say in the $65-75 neighborhood as described, but it's been a while since I've been in the market, and that could have dropped in the last year or two.

Hope you all are having a great 4th!
Thanks for the warm welcome! You guys and gals are awesome!
I am closer to making the purchase. Included is a Green Arrow, Speedy, an Americar and a Thor as some highlights. None are complete and the Americar has a pretty scuffed sheild, but the figures all have costumes and various accessories. More later.
I would like to officially ask for a card to start my collection. I am not a dealer and I would NEVER dream of selling them on ebay. I have seen some sell and it leaves a bad taste. To show you a glimpse of my life, go here:

Keep it on the downlow 'cuz it is public but I only show it to a few people and groups.
So is it a deal? I have no cards so I'll take anything.
Love the box by the way. Who made it?
Take care!
Chris
