I don't get this auction. Am I not seeing something that makes this worth what it's going for at the moment? Is it the case?

Don't see anything wrong with the price. Break it down:

Robin w/Original Emblem only missing his gloves....At least $35 - $45
Batman w/Boots missing everything else....At Least $15
Shazam with jumpsuit, Cape(even though it's frayed) and boots...At Least $15 - $20
Carrying Case....At least $25

Add it up....$100. Seems to be right on track if you ask me.

Don't know if the red lined case is any rarer than the white lined case...if it is, add more on to final tally.

Thanks for breaking it down for me. I didn't think it was an out of control bidding war or anything like that, I just couldn't tell what the appeal was. I was focusing on the case being of interest to the bidders and thinking something about it was rare or unusual. I figured the Robin was pretty nice even without the gloves and was kind of disregarding the Batman and Shazam.

I appreciate the input. I am still trying to learn as much as I can from the Museum and applying it to looking at auctions. Still haven't quite caught the nuances of it all, but I'm learning.

Anyone know if the red lined case is rarer than the white lined ones?? Never really took noticed of it. Isn't there also a variation on the handle too???
