    Me, My Son and Frankenstien

I am one Happy man. i have the Frankenstien Collection on dvd (all 5 movies from the 30's) anyway I pulled it out to watch to get into the Halloween spirit and my 8 year old who really has not been into monster movies (a little scared of them) wanted to watch the first movie with me so I thought on it and decided that the movie isnt graffic just a little scary so I let him watch with me as we were watching he was really into it and wont let me watch the others untill he can watch them with me. he also drew me a picture of the Monster. So know I think I may have me a little buddy to go to horror conventions with. Just wanted to share this with you all.

Really hoping that this is something he and I will make sort of a tradition (getting together around this time of year and watchin older Horror flicks) but I will take this for now and enjoy every minuet of watching him jump for the first time at certain scenes itll be like me seeing them for the first time again through him

            That's great man! I love monster-kid stories!
I have this also, along with the Dracula and Mummy sets and my 5-year old loves 'em.
When I found out he wanted to watch them with me I nearly passed out!
            I'm with ya!

After your boy has seen the classics, it's time to pull out The Monster Squad. That movie has converted many a child I know into loving old time monster flicks.

                      That's a neat idea.
Reminded me of when I was a kid and they had the Friday Fright NIght movies on after the 11:00 news.
Since we almost always got pizza on Friday nights when I was a kid, that really struck a memory with me.
I think I might try that with my kids on Friday nights.
I have a lot of old monster/horror/sci fi movies and even my youngest (6) pulls movies off the shelf that I wouldn't think she'd like and watches them all the time. Like Eight-legged Freaks, The Mummy (newer one), FRogs, planet of the apes, Konga, etc.

I love hearing everyone getting into this.

Me and my son watched the bride and he liked it alot next we will be doing The Son of Frankenstien. He wanted to watch it right after the Bride but I told him that would have to wait till next week and we would do the whole pizza and a horror movie again and he loves the idea. I'll keep posting every week to let you all know whats next and let you know what my son thought of the flick. I think havin our kids rate the horror movies should be pretty fun.

fabulous!! i was watching Frankenstein a couple of weeks ago my 2 year old daughter propped herself up to sit with me and she sat through the whole movie and loved it. Didn't get scared at all and imitated the monster. Kid has nerves of steel already.

Well last week it was the Son of Frankenstien. My son kept telling me Igor was Fritz from the first movie and I had him convinced till he saw Igor had a broken neck from being hung and we were back to Fritz was hung lol. But he did catch me calling the Monster Frankenstien and he jumped all on me "Dad thats not Frankenstien thats The Monster" little smart *** lol. But were having a blast I think I may throw in Night of the Living Dead and see how he likes that one

Well till next week Have a Happy Fright Friday and a Happy and Safe Halloween
