Lets Also clean up the User Galleries Please!

Now that the new forum is up and running can we consolidate the dozens of folders owned buy hte same people in the User Galleries? We could probably knock off a dozen pages from it.

I only keep one folder and I only put stuff in there that has to do with MEGOs or comic book art that I made. I don't abuse the gallery and stick pictures of my truck or fifty million shots of my newly designed bathroom. I think that might be a tad excessive but what do I know? Maybe I should shut my mouth.

And why are your comic book art pictures (not Mego) that you have downloaded be any more important than pictures of my stuff?

Yes, I have too many pictures but resent the fact that you say I'm abusing the gallery, that was a low blow from you, I am going to mass delete most of my pictures but not because of you.

And just to be clear: I wasn't talking about the many pics you have in the gallery (what you put into your folder is your business, not mine), but you do have a gazillion folders tho. If you just save one folder and create a bunch of subfolders the gallery wouldn't be so flooded ;)

I have no problems with you Meule, you didn't say I was abusing the gallery, was just clueless and had no idea that I had created a problem for the rest of you guys, I do apologize for that, I do have too may folders, that's my bad.

I take issue with Wrathdemon addressing the content of my stuff, that's none of his bloody business, what I download is none of his concern.

I hope someone can give me advice how to mass delete all that stuff, I certainly don't want to delete picture to picture, I'll be there for an entire year doing that, lol.

I believe you have to manually go thru each page and click on delete album just under the title...

A couple of months ago I did a massive dump in the galleries.
Took me about 2 hours deleting each picture one at a time.
I really don't think there's a way of just checking a box and then when they're all checked, hit delete.
That would be nice, but I don't think it can be done.

I agree with you 100%...
You big time helped out on ALL the bandwidth drives.

If anybody tells you to delete anything, it should come from Joe himself.
Anybody else, I'd tell them where to get off too :grin:

I was trying to delete one of my albums and stumbled onto how to delete the whole thing. I signed into the album, then backed out of it and there was an option to delete album. I know my wording sucks, but I hope that helps.

The galleries are a hog on resources. It's a good idea for everyone to clean up as much as possible as often as possible. If you think about the amount of stuff housed there, it's staggering.

It's just polite to get rid of the stuff you no longer need.

I still cannot mass delete my folders in the gallery, picture to picture is taking forever, I could use ANYONE'S assistance on this matter, please.

I'm willing to have my entire file deleted at once if its necessary, and start fresh, I will keep my future folders to a minimum amount.

[delete album] [move album] [reorder album] [rename album] [edit captions] [permissions] [properties]


After you log in there is an icon beside each of your albums, just hit the delete album as shown above... Once it's deleted you can scroll to each page deleting each album, you can't do it from the top where all the albums are listed in your name... See if that works...

I have now deleted ALL my folders except for two.

Those two are my Mustang and my house remodeling folders, I left those two in honor of Wrathdemon, lol.

No. I meant that in this thread you seem to show a propensity for posting reply after reply after reply. Maybe that's why you have so much stuff all over the galleries.

Let just re-iterate. I didn't mention you by name when I started this thread. I am not blaming you. There are at least 3 other people who have numerous folders all over. I just wanted to suggest people consolidate their stuff into one loaction. It makes it easier to browse thru the galleries and enjoy the seeing stuff people are working on.
