On a side note, I noticed that several of this seller's carded Aliens have a dark discoloration to the card.

There's a little bit of it on this Romulan, but his Neptunian had it pretty bad.

What do you think caused that?

The most I paid for a Mego would have to be $221.00 for my carded Silver Soldier Ape. I know this is measley to some but.....it is the most I ever paid for a Mego. :monkey_y: :juggleyes_y:

$15,800 recently for the boxed Mego Elastic Batman was the highest Ebay price for a Mego in my memory. I know for a fact that there have been a lot of private Mego transactions that rival or beat that.

Mark Huckabone has asked around $20K for a few pieces. Not sure if he's ever gotten that for one piece, but that would be a record, I think. I know of a few items that have sold close to that mark.

Where do you get this information from because quite frankly I have NEVER even heard of a carded Lizard selling for $15,000. Mark Huckabone was asking $12,500 for the example pictured in Tomarts and to my knowledge still has not found a buyer. However, I am aware of a few other carded figures which have sold for around that price you listed. Agreed with Brian, Mark trumps anything sold on eBay.

Yes, I'm happy with the outcome....but we all have seen MOC Romulans go for much more than that. The bubble was crushed at the bottom, and there was a dark tint to the cardback. As to what caused it?....no clue...was that way when I grabbed him about 6 years ago.

I did not mean anything in a negative way. Just was rather shocked to say the least when I saw someone stating a US carded Lizard sold for that much. The most I have ever heard a sealed example of a carded Lizzy selling for was $9,500. Now if you had said a carded Iron Man and/or Green Goblin you would stand correct. Nuff Said'

$2000 is my highest ever and I just did that a couple months ago...who knows what the future will bring though!:)
