Met Marty at the Licensing Show

I went to the Licensing Show here in New York on Tuesday and met
Marty and Ken Abrams to give them a set of the new Star Trek figures
that MegoMeet attendees got a sneak peek of.

Marty was so pleased with the figures, he showed them to the
president of Hasbro and the president of Kay Bee Toys. Hopefully
something good will come of it. :grin:

I also showed them to the guy at CBS/Paramount and they were
absolutely thrilled. I always say - underneath every 40 year old
man is a mego kid ready to play.

Wow, that's so cool Paul. From the smile on Marty's face I can tell his impressed. We can only hope him showing the figures off to Hasbro and Kay Bee Toys will open some more doors ;) Or maybe convince them to start releasing 8" figures as well, Mego style that is.
The fact that CBS/Paramount is pleased is definitely good news, this could be the start of something HUGE ;) :grin:

I've two sets on order also... One from Starlog and one from my local comic shop.
I hope it all goes well, I want to see the rest of the first six. I hope it will continue after that.

Marty that his would get a royalty check in a few weeks. Marty shook
his head and told Joe it wasn't about the money.

I chimed in that this was a labor of love. Marty gave me the godfather
pat on the cheek and smiled. "You understand." After all the back and
forth with Diamond and China over the past year - that moment made
it all worth it.

Hey Doc...I have a question: Once the Ball get's rolling, and the Figure's are out...will You be able to sell Part's from Them on Your Site? Like say...Head's, Clothing, Phaser's, etc...?
