Pretty sweet! Fits in well with the Batmobile/Tumbler, and given the name "Bat-pod" it makes me wonder if it doesn't somehow eject from the tumbler, like the rumors have been suggesting.

I definitely see this somehow breaking away from the rest of the car.

Me and a buddy at work were looking at it, and it hit me what it reminds me of: A ROTJ Speeder Bike with wheels.

And those guns on the front: "Rubber bullets, honest."

I likey.

among other things, one of the ideas the Bale/Nolan Batman has over the others is that THIS Batman is very aware of The Media, of Pop Culture even, and knows how to make an impression.

while i always thought the Keaton/Kilmer/Clooney Batmen looked silly on the toys they were given to ride, this Batman looks like he knows he's making an impression by having something as silly as a "Bat-Bike." he does it with a wink, almost, which i think makes it work.

Alfred: "What do you call that, sir?"
Bruce: "Damn good television."

The thing that bothers me is there's no reference to Batman. I didn't like the Thumbler either, but at least then he had the excuse of being new and having to take what was available.
Every Batvehicle is easily recognazible as being a Batman vehicle because of the batwings. Neither the Thumbler or this Batpod have those. These are military vehicles, not Batvehicles :wall:
The Keaton Batmobile was cool as hell. The Barris Batmobile was even cooler of course, but that one wouldn't be convincing enough in a movie anymore. No roof, not bullet proof, no guns, ... Cool as hell, but not very functional for today's Batman unfortunately

The vehicles are the only thing that really bother me in the Bale movies.

I liked the tumbler, it looked a lot like the Batmobile from DKR. The off the shelf military vehicles make more sense to me. How the heck is Bruce going to commision some custom bat winged car and keep it a secret?

I like it! I also liked the Tumbler(because it reminded Me of TDKR)...I don't want the Batmobile's to look anything like the first 4 Batman Movie's...because those Movie's $ucked! And in My mind...do not even exist.:ugh_y: Nor do I want the Vehicle's to look like the 66 TV Show. Nolan is the first One to get it RIGHT! And I'm more than willing to give Him the Credit...and My complete trust.

Hopefully it isn't some lame scene where he is escaping from some Black and White police cruisers (like the one picture implies) and he had to ditch the rest of the Tumbler in order to fit through an alley. Gee, where have we seen that before?

It's cool ... I'm sure Hasbro is drooling and I'll wait to pass judgement on its silliness until I see it in the film.

The Keaton Batmobile was cool as hell.

absolutely !!!! i recall people cheering when it made it's appearance.

i think they'd be smart to bring it back. tumbler was ok but bats has always had a great vehicle

any pics of what his alleged " new costume looks like?

my thought was they likely went to either navy and grey or black and grey...
