I bought "The Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow" DVD, mainly because my six-year-old son wanted it, but I wasn't expecting much... but I got much more than I bargained for.

Set in a future where Ultron has killed most of the Avengers and taken over the world, the progeny of the Avengers are all that's left to stand between Ultron and the destruction of the world. The animation is good, and the story was really well done. A really nice, original story that will hopefully have future volumes.

I'd definitely give it a B+

I was wondering how or when Marvel was going to get around to ripping off Batman Beyond. I guess this answers my question.

It's actually nothing like Batman Beyond, other than being set in the future.

Just saw it!
Not bad!!! I didn't like how Tony Stark was the "father" of Ultron but I suppose they had to do something to serve his purpose for being there.

If you take it as an alternate universe future, it is a good story with a good meaning.
I would like to see an Avenger's cartoon of this magnitude.

My 4 year old was just looking at thei today in Target and I was very skeptical. Good to hear it's not as bad as I expected.

Thanks for the review Joe.

We were at Blockbuster when I saw this movie last week. My dad was in town and had volunteered to rent movies.

I assumed this was a poorly animated movie with a terrible plot and script that I would cringe at as I watched.

Was I ever wrong! I loved it. Sure you could nit pick problems with it. I have not read this story line in comics (if it exists) so it didn't contradict anything I know. There was something i that I said "it wasn't like that in the comics" to my daughter. Tony said he made Ultron -wasn't it Pym who made Ultron?. It was a great elseworlds/what if type story. Nice animation, scripting and action.
