i hope to get all the new gods, batman, brainiac, and maybe a few others but i'm in no hurry to over pay maybe that's why i get outbid all the time) but still i remember when they i could get the joker, flash, parademon, and hawkman in kenner bags for $3 a piece at trade shows but i guess that was 15 years ago and i should expect to pay more now
The more common figures never really went up in price. harder to find figures easily can go for a lot more than $3!

I am a huge fan of the line I have loose examples of all but five of them I am missing Mr. Miracle, Shazam (Cap marvel), Tyr, Cyborg and Riddler, but Riddler was a repaint of GL from Argentina so I doubt I'm ever gonna get him. But man oh man do I love that line it was my first love but then Mego came along.

Great line,I doubt you'll find them for $3,but you can get some deals out there
I pick up a few when i get the right deal ... I had about 1/4 of them but most just didn't make the cut for the shape I wanted them in so I sold/traded them off.
Right now I only have Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Flash. Loose but minty :)
I really want to get Batman and Robin with the Batmobile ... I'm very envious of you spockfan... that was one awesome deal you got ... did the figures have the capes and did the Batmobile have all it's windshields?

I had everything, and sort of still do... EXCEPT that Green Arrow is missing his arrows. He wasn't always missing his arrows... but then again, I don't think the dog knew that they weren't there for his pleasure...

The Batmobile is in tact no winshields missing and the lever make the nose extends is in working order i only needed to clean it up, Superman still has his cape but it has a small run, Robin has his cape but it's loose Batman is in bad shape his cape is there but not attached and his chest emblem is just about rubed off Green Lantern is really nice but missing his power battery and Joker is missing his mallet and is loose jointed

A very cool line. I did at one time have all but 3 figures carded and all the vehicles and playsets except the Batcopter. I've since sold everything but I now have a complete set loose, the Batmobile and Cyboorg MOC. I'd like to get what I'm missing again.
Back in the day I remember seeing the Batcopter in TRU. I believe it was $9.99 but I didn't have enough cash at the time so I passed. I thought I'd get it later when I got payed. I never saw it again.
Goldenryan - I have a few loose if you are interested. Just let me know.

I wanted to start collecting this line years ago. I was at an antique show once and a dealer had some carded stuff. Had carded Robotech as well and I got those instead. Should have went with the Super Powers.

I had no idea that the Super Powers line was coming out. One day, in 1984, I went into Target's toy department and I think my jaw hit the floor. They were my favorite figure line, at the time, along with GI Joe RAH. Still love Super Powers.

i think super powers was the first line that made heroes look like that did in the comics.

And when you are done collecting (have all of them), there are occasionally some nice Super Powers customs flying around Ebay.... (to fill in the gaps!)
i don't want to get every figure but there are like 5 more i want to find.
a loose complete mr. miracle will be the tough for a decent price but i'm in no hurry.

I absolutely love the Super Powers and Secret Wars lines. I have a few from each , and hope to complete the sets at some point. I get annoyed knowing I had a Cyborg as a kid , and have absolutely no recollection what happened to it. I actually want a Secret Wars Iceman. I can just never find one in good shape in my price range though.

Anyone know where I can get Mister Miracle cape and cuffs?

Just picked up two today: a loose near mint superman with great superpower action (complete with cape) and a batman who looks good and has cape, but his superpower isn't working quite as well as superman. Got 'em for $5 each at the local comic book store, so there wasn't even any shipping charge!!!
I'm not trying to pick up the whole set, but I would still like to get a few if anyone has extra loose ones for cheap: Aquaman, Shazam, Wonder Woman, Robin (w/ cape), Firestorm, Samurai, Joker, Brainiac and the DC Super Heroes Riddler.

My first loose toy purchase was a Firestorm from a comic shop, I have a few including the Batmobile intact and working. It's a great toy line.

Be careful who you offer that to. I'm not saying anyone here can't be trusted, but there have been cases (mostly with newbies) where things like this have gone wrong. Just a friendly warning. But it's a great gesture

My kid brother had all the Super Powers and a lot of Transformers and 3/4" GI Joe. I asked him if I could have them or buy them from him, but, he said no. Turns out, he caved to his wife (pretty easily I might add) and sold them all on eBay a couple years ago. :enraged:

I know the whole deal, but that doesn't mean people should try to take advantage of you now. Plus it's good advice for everyone to see :wink_y:

I have them all (loose as I prefer to play with my toys) many from when they were out. I was able to get El Acertijo (Riddler) in the earty 90's and 2 years ago I got the crown jewel Captain Rey
I also have some "spares" moc like Capt Marvel and Cyborg
absolute best comic based line ever

i would agree, megos might be more likable and valuable but SP were deffinitely more comic accurate. also, just bid on a few loose figures on ebay so hopefully i win at lease a couple.

I don't know about mego as more valuable, MOC both are pretty pricey and the rare pieces are astronomical for both). one thing that helps keep the SP price lower is age (they are 5-10 years newer), contruction (SP son't have rubber bands and head to rot), and few SP have accessories to lose (let alone costumes to rip) so loose examples are easier to find. tat said I bet a loose GA for superpowers with his bow string and 2 arrows is as pricey as any mego hero loose except maybe the titans (and I know Cyborg loose with good vac metal is as expensive as a titan)

I recently found mine and let my 3 year old boys play with Supe and Bats....neadless to say, they are no longer "mint". Oh well..toys are meant to be played with.

I think Superpowers were some of the best Comic Action Figures ever made, I don't even care when people say they were THE best. For me the one missing link is that Kenner couldn't get the Marvel License as well, that would have been bliss.

I think for the most part, the Super Powers figures are cheaper. The rare stuff is different, but for the most part, I'd say any complete Superpowers figure would be cheaper than the corresponding complete Mego.

You can pick up a carded Green Arrow for under $30 without too much trouble on ebay.

i don't mind secret wars, but between 1986-1989 they're were no marvel figures. :wall:

If you can find a nice one loose, I would go with Plastic Man.
mister miracle, clark kent, and batman are my favorites but all seem to go for decent money.
kalibak and parademon i always liked and are also affordable. :wink_y:
