    New Crew Chairs! Presales needed

Hey all, I've been pondering making high-backed Mego scale chairs similar to
crew chairs on Star Trek but less detailed. Useful for Dida or vintage Mego
    sets, Trek superheroes, etc...

I've been talking with a local mold maker who makes electroplated steel
molds for injection molding plastic professionally. He's worked for the computer and medical fields tooling high tolerance plastic parts for 30 years and really knows his stuff. He's saying that he could make a short run of crew chairs for about $5.00 each.

This is a photo composite of what I want to make, but the base pole and feet
would be closer to the original Trek stool, and they'd be in black or blue. I think these would be great to
    have around...

I'd only do it if I can pre-sell a certain amount to be confident in interest.
If you would like to support this idea and pre-order some chairs please paypal me at scott (at) scottcadams
    dot com
    . PM with any questions.

If I get enough orders by September 15th I'll give him the green light
and we could have these about 6 weeks later. If I don't get the minimum I'll
issue refunds on the 15th. I'd like to have orders of 5 chairs for $25 to
get things moving, but whatever you'd like to do is fine.

    Thanks!

What is the minimum to make it a go?
Too many toys. Not enough space!

How many does one need on the bridge? Sule, Checkov, Spock, Uhura, Scotty and maybe one for Lt. Leslie? Six in total, does that sound right or am I forgetting someone?

Figure minimum 4 on a Bridge--retro or Dida...6 would give one at each station on a Dida, 8 if you had the expanded octogon. Could also use in a Batcave, Hall of Justice...or anywhere someone needs to have a seat and think for a spell.

These would be cool at the HOJ with stickers on the back for each hero.

hey Teach, I plan to do black and blue...I'm picturing the same deep primary blue as the Mego HOJ table.

If you count enough chairs for a full bridge you need 10. Lets also consider, if you have room to build a bridge, perhaps you might build a Captain's quarters? A Briefing room display? Then you need more than 10. I'd buy at least 10 if you are a builder of big things like some of our people here.

                              Scott,
Does the Museum forum feature a TO GO thermometer ?
It would be neat counting down the amount needed day by day.
