    scale chart

I found this and thought it might come in handy for people to use as a guide when looking for things to use with action figures.

1:1 - Real life, Full size Busts
    1:2 - Half scale, 6"=1 Foot
1:4 - Quarter scale, 3"=1 Foot, A 6' person would be an 18" Figure, Toner Dolls,
1:6 - One Sixth Scale, 2"=1 Foot, A 6' person would be a 12" Figure, Fashion Dolls, Sideshow, Takara, Medicom.
    1:8 - One Eighth, 1.5"=1 Foot, A 6' person would be a 9" Figure, 8" figures are often referred to as 1:8
    1:12 - 1"= 1 Foot, A 6' person would be a 6" figure.
    1:18 - .5" = 1 Foot, A 6' person would be a 3" figure. A 12' long car would be 6" long model
    1:32 - .25" = 1 Foot, A 6' person would be a 1.5" figure.
    1:64 - .125" = 1 Foot, A 6' person would be a .75" figure. Matchbox, Hotwheels use this scale

      Hmmmm....

Scale is a funny thing; and there have been a few discussions about it around here. A lot of the time you'll find that scale as applied to model kits, toys, etc is sort of an approximation. Mego 8" figures are 1/9. BUT a lot of the time you can use 1/8 scale stuff with them and it works fine.

You've got a good list of the PROPER numbers there.

That is helpful. I think that the seeming discrepancy between 1/8 scale and Mego 1/9 scale is that Mego action figures are not exactly proportioned like a real human body in their size. I bet there are some discrepancies.
