Derek "megospidey" customs are great ---but now I actually have a figure of his :)

I just recieved the NICK FURY that Derek made recently
...he put it on Ebay and I purchased it from him.

I couldn't believe how great his communication was...

and how quick he sent the figure....

...and how nice it was packaged.

...and how nice the "bonus" NICK FURY comic was

and, finally, the figure itself is beautifully rendered---SO impressive in person.

What a great "first bit o' commerce".
I hope I can do more "business" with Derek in the future!

(but for now I just wanted to give him his "props" publically)

Derek has quickly become one of my all time favorite customizers. Both professionally and personally. Got to meet him in WV and he is as COOL as his customs are HOT!

Bravo, Derek--your figs really inspire me. I think I really like them because, aside from the great craftsmanship, they strike me as what Mego might have done if they had produced premium figures.

As a fellow Arkie, I'm proud to have such a fine mego customizer in my state. His work is fantastic and he's a gentleman to boot. And since we live in such close proximity, when he mails me a custom, I usually get it the very next day.

But I have great admiration for Black Knight and Brian Leitner and Type3toys, too. They are all super talented and great to deal with, too.

Derek does some of the best work, period. It's amazing how quickly he became one of the best customizers. He also seems to do a lot of the characters that I like. I was lucky enough to pick up his Copperhead at last year's MegoMeet. It's a charming Megoesque figure.

Hugh, I'm so glad you've gotten a custom from Derek. He makes beautiful, clean, well thought out customs. I love getting to see the stuff he's putting out now. Megospidy is a headliner on this board. A "must see" whenever his name is on a new custom post.
Derek, all this customizing power and ya save souls on the weekends. I hope to run into you again at the next meet, maybe Hugh will even make it as well.
