    Todays Great DVD Find

Season 1 of "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home". It's a Hanna Barbera classic! Recommended for anyone who wants to re-live the 70s animation style! It's got it all: Hippies, Women's Lib, Civil Rights and Communes!!! Plus the very wacko neighborhood's watch brigade.

"I love my mom and dad and my brothers too-

and the groovy way we get along

But every time the slightest little thing goes wrong-

Mom starts to sing this familiar song"....

    Everybody sing!!!!!

This show is now playing on Boomerang and I've recorded many of them. I found the first season a bit stilted but the second season is a lot more fun and they got a number of guest voices.

I found this show years ago on CN and thought "Wow, never heard of this!". It was obvious as soon as I watched that it was made for prime time and was aimed at a more adult audience with it's themes and stories.

I remember this show was on NBC when I was 6 and I used to beg to stay up and watch it. Of course a lot of its content went right over my head at that time, but I still liked it. I remember when Wonder Bread used to give cards away in the bread packages, they had trading cards of this show (as well as other HB cartoons). When it came on CN, I taped most of them. This show is also on AOL's IN2TV.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

I have ZERO recollection of the show. And I am pretty good with cartoon recall!!

BTW Hardy Girl - I'm sure you know about Season 2 of Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew being released this past week also, right? Just an FYI in case you didn't know.

T-bolt....it was a prime time show that aired in syndication...maybe that's why you didn't come across it?
