That's neat.
What material did you use to make the bridge out of ?

Pretty cool. I watched the rest of the ship's tour as well, looks like you've been busy: engineering, sickbay, recreations room, ... But I didn't see a transporter platform, that still coming?

Your rendition of the bridge looks great. Lots of detail. That is what I like. I have dreamed about doing a custom bridge now for some time. However, I just cannot get in the right frame of mind nor make the energy to do so. Plus I have way too many other open projects in my Mego laboratory so to speak. Now that you have went were not many customizers have gone before this just makes me want to put my dream off even farther down the line. :smiley1: Nice job on your custom bridge. I like your videos to. Keep up the great work!

Hi,I'll try to answer your question; The walls are made of "styrofoam" and the
rest is cardboard except for desk-like instruments made of plastic and then
painted in black except for some spots with different colors where lights are
gonna be added.I'll film it as soon as it'll be completed.Everything was painted
over foam and cardboard. The ramps(red)are also made of foam.

Yes,as stated in the short clips(videos)part 1&2,there's part 3 coming later this year. You see,the transporter room will be totally lighted and "kinda fonctional" So you're right,it's still coming and will go with a lighted version of the bridge. The only thing left is the elevator again, with the appropriate lights that'll give the illusion of movement as in ST TOS.:googly:
That promess to be the hardest part of all...

Thanks, remember one thing however, from the beginning to the end of this project it took me more than a year to assembled.Painstickingly adding bits
and pieces and not counting the hours...it pays in the long run. After that I might consider to do customs and sell'em if anyone's interested?...:terror:

Thanks,I have to add something here, this aint a "replica" of the actual Star Trek Enterprise, instead of a round shape bridge,I went for a square(it was easier that way)If I did this is mainly because I love mego figures but also it's because I tried to built one in the 70's when I was a kid with no sucsess;this is a kinda revenge:grin:
So there's gonna be more of this, for sure.A fully lighted bridge with transporter room and elevator for part 3,final before episode 1 next year...

Looking great. Keep at it. I like that you made that round thing Spock was always staring into. What was that supposed to be anyway and how come he never let anyone else look in it???

Thanks,it's appreciated, the enthousiasm of the members is contagious,GREAT!
I am working on the engine room floor at the moment, after that I'll work on the last piece:the elevator. So upcoming is the "light tests" for the whole bridge and transporter room, then the elevator and full enginering.:juggleyes_y:
I'll have to write the senario for the first "episode" that'll involve Klingons and
Romulans...
As for the crew,I hope that EMCE toys will release Sulu and Chekov in time for
the shooting:smiley12:

When Spock isn't on the bridge,I saw Chekov starin' at that blue light thing...
when completed,he'll be able to stare at it and I'll manege to get a blue light
on his face like the real gizmo.I've just finished the lights for the elevator...so
the "whole" ship would be ready except that I need one more set of lights and
I'll have to wait around Christmas to get it.Need a couple of more light bulbs
'cause those I've got don't flash and they have to in order for the "transporter
room" to operate. Then I'll do some light tests that I'll post on YOU TUBE.THEN
the project will be completed.Next year, the first "Star Trek Mego episode":smiley1:

looks great,,add a " toilet" in another room just to be different from the 500 other bridges made.
I always felt that the captain seat would be great for that...a bit crowded somehow...:smiley1:

Great work.
Yes,you're right...that was only a test to see how it'd look on the screen.I'll
give'em life with my first "ST Mego episode" serie.Writing a "new" episode chapter to the ST saga is the goal of this project.:googly:
I know I'll have a lot of fun doin'it even if it's gonna take me forever to write a scenario, dialogues, shooting and adding proper sounds etc.At least,I'll make
one and if the "feedback" is good,I'll risk another...:licklips:
Any help or suggestions is welcome:smiley13:

Thanks, you're right about the authenticity of the sound,it's actually taken from a "sound effects from the original tv soundtrack" CD I purchased a couple of years ago(being a big fan of Star Trek TOS).It contains around 70
different sounds from the serie(+animated):cool_y:

I really like your "freestyle" take on the good old Enterprise. Lots of hard work has gone into this baby!
Is it built like a book shelf arrangement, or is each set a seperate piece? Either way it must be enormous!
Keep on Trekkin'!!

You're right,IT IS HUGE;it is almost 3 foot square and can be detach in 4 sections, first the door&walls&step;then the entire right and left side(up the ramp)and the floor itself with the Capt.chair and Sulu/Chekov console. When
I'll put the electrical lightning system it will be one hell of a big set.:juggleyes_y:
It took me almost a year of work and I had to redo all the console on both sides to fit 3 rows of lighting to "recreate" the original;also Sulu&Chekov console has it's own inner lighthing system(battery)I'll shoot a "screen test"
of it as soon as my "transporter room" lights will be ready.
More to come soon.

That's the best I could do with the light sets that I had...:ugh_y:
Anyway,it's good enough to start filming my first "episode";the title?
Ghost Ship:IF everything goes well,maybe...maybe Part 1 will be ready in
time for Xmas...:licklips:
Yummy...All the screen tests are done so I can consider that this project is no longer "in progress" but finished(as far as building the sets)so I'll continue
to answer your questions or comments here until the first part of Ghost Ship.
