    El Orfanato (The Orphanage)

Guillermo del Toro produced El Orfanato (The Orphanage)...it was directed by newcomer Juan Antonio Bayona.

It's a really creepy and haunting Spanish film...it has a great story...check it out if you haven't seen it...very similar to that other del Toro film, El Espinazo del Diablo (The Devil's Backbone, another great creepy film).

It features this really creepy kid who wears this creepy sack over his/her head:

It won a bunch of Goya Wards (Spanish Academy Awards).

I highly recommend it for anyone in here.

    Yes, it's creepy and scary.

In Spanish with optional subtitles in English.

I've been meaning to check that film out. There was a flyer advertising the film included with my PAN'S LABYRINTH Blu-ray (I loved that film BTW), and it got me intrigued.

              Hmmmm....

Y'know; I've seen a few really good Spanish language horror films lately. They all seem more atmospheric than N. American ones, which tend to be a lot more event focussed.

This movie still creeps out my sister every time she sees it, so definitely I'm staying away from this one. Too scary for me. Same goes with Devil's Backbone...
